Roscommon Racecourse

Nice to see recent Roscommon winners strike gold again over the weekend. Lightening Pearl won the Round Tower Stakes (gr 3) at the Curragh and Down In Neworleans won yet again in Galway.

Roscommon Races on Monday, 5th September. First Race: 4.35pm. Just €5.00 admission for everyone. Top Class Flat and National Hunt Racing. Do’nt forget to tell your friends. Remember €5.00 admission.

A very big thank you to all our loyal patrons who attended the above meeting despite bad weather conditions.

Despite horrific weather conditions the above meeting went very well. Local girl Rachel Casey proved very successful in commentating on 1 of our races and The Flat V National Hunt Jockey’s Race went down very well with our patrons. It was very nice to see 4 members of the County Roscommon Hunt show off the recent RDS winning horses also on the evening.

Do’nt forget racing this Monday at Roscommon. First Race: 5.25pm. As the Summer is drawing to a close and the children are going back to school, special family admission price on Monday next, €20.00 (2 adults, 2 children).

Local girl Rachel Casey, who recently came 2nd in a Race Commentator’s Competition in England will be in Roscommon on Monday, 15th August, to commentate on one of our races. Do’nt miss this historic event.
